Merced Harvest of Hope

Merced Harvest of Hope

With great joy and gratitude, Catholic Charites of Merced is planning our 8th Annual Harvest of Hope on Saturday, August 20th at St. Patrick’s Parish Hall. Save the date because this is one night you won’t want to miss!

In the last three years, Catholic Charities services throughout Merced County have increased by over 125%. Of those served, only 4% are homeless which means that 96% are families who have fallen on hard times and are struggling to put food on the table at home.

Since we last met at our 2021 Harvest of Hope, we completed Phase 1 of our renovation project focused on the expansion of our warehouse and food storage capacity in order to meet these high food distribution needs. Because of our generous Merced County community, we now have a state-of-the-art, walk-in refrigerator and freezer unit as part of this project!

We continue to provide food to families in need at our site on Main Street five days a week – many of whom have never had to seek out our services before and are finding themselves in need for the very first time!

We’ve also maintained our commitment to fulfilling service gaps in rural communities throughout the county by delivering food and essential resources to families in need in Dos Palos, Los Banos, Planada and most recently, Hilmar, through coordinated outreach events taking place each month.

Harvest of Hope is Catholic Charities largest annual fundraiser the enables the continuation of these vital programs and services for families in the greatest of need. Please save the date for August 20th, 2022! And stay tuned for an honoree announcement coming soon!

This is sure to be an incredible night filled with great food, friends and fun as we celebrate our community’s generosity that has allowed Catholic Charities to serve more people than ever before. For more information, please contact Ashlee Wolf at or call 559-237-0851.
