Toys for Kids

All three of our sites in Fresno, Bakersfield, and Merced will be holding a Toys for Kids Christmas event this holiday season to serve families in greatest need. But we can’t do it without your help.

Catholic Charities is actively seeking donations to purchase new, unwrapped toys for children of families in need. You can donate now and designate ‘Toys for Kids.’ Donations are allocated to the nearest Catholic Charities location (Fresno, Bakersfield, or Merced) based on your zip code.

You can also donate a toy and drop it off at any of our three sites.

Host a Toy Drive

The holiday season can be challenging for struggling families, especially those with children. Those registered for these events include clients of all walks of life, from any faith or background, including those working paycheck to paycheck, those who may have lost their home to a fire, those who have recently taken in a family member, and so many others. Through events like these, Catholic Charities hopes to make a difference in a family’s life, put a smile on a child’s face, and provide a holiday memory they can treasure forever.

Fresno

Toy Sign-Ups

Those visiting Catholic Charities seeking assistance after November 6th will be invited to sign up if the household includes children ages 0-12. Sign-ups will continue through December 14th or until capacity is reached. We can only accommodate 500 children. All children and families must be pre-registered to receive a toy and attend the Christmas for Kids event.

Christmas for Kids Event

On December 14th, the Junior Ministers of Presence (JMOP’s), a service group of San Joaquin Memorial High School students, will help bring smiles to 500 children’s faces during the annual Christmas for Kids event. The event includes face painting, arts and crafts, toy distribution, and photos with Santa Claus.

Bakersfield

Toy Sign-Ups

Those visiting Catholic Charities seeking assistance after December 2nd will be invited to sign up if the household includes children ages 0-12. Sign-ups will continue through December 15th or until capacity is reached. We can only accommodate 150 children. All children and families must be pre-registered to receive a toy and attend the Christmas for Kids event.

On December 17th, the staff and volunteers of Catholic Charities will help bring smiles to 150 children’s faces during the annual Christmas for Kids event. The event will include fun Christmas activities, hot chocolate, and, of course, toy distribution.
