Donating

You can give a one-time donation or set up recurring gifts online, by mail, or by phone.

By Mail

Checks can be made payable to the Catholic Charities Diocese of Fresno and mailed to our corporate office at the following address. Even when you mail a donation to our Fresno corporate office, you can still designate that the donation goes towards providing services in any of the eight counties we serve. Just indicate where you’d like to designate your donation in the memo line.

By Phone

You can set up one-time or monthly donations over the phone at (559) 237-0851 or online by clicking here. If you give us a directive, we can charge your credit card for the same amount every month. Even if it is only $10 per month, this adds up over the year and significantly impacts families in need.

Matching Gifts

Many corporations agree to match personal donations with an equal or more outstanding corporate contribution to encourage employees to make charitable gifts. Catholic Charities is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation, and we qualify for matching funds from many companies. You could double or even triple the impact of your generosity. Contact your employer’s human resources department for more information.

Accepted Donations

Food

Food gifts are welcome at our food pantries in Fresno, Merced, and Bakersfield. Grocery store gift cards are also accepted at all of our locations. Thanks to your generosity, Catholic Charities distributes three million pounds of food each year. Last year, we were blessed with over one million pounds of donated food from our Food Bank partners, corporate donors, churches, schools, and individuals.

Basic Necessities

We do not have the funds to purchase necessities such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo, and more. The homeless clients at each of our three sites always greatly need and appreciate travel-size hygiene items!

Clothing or Household Items

Our Fresno and Merced sites always need donations of gently used clothing and blankets. The Catholic Charities Thrift Store in Fresno can also utilize household goods, electronics, and furniture. Last year, more than 50,000 units of clothing were donated and then provided to families in need. Even simple items like shoes, socks, underwear, and women’s bras are always greatly appreciated!

Vehicles

Help support the CARS program and services at Catholic Charities by donating a new or used car, truck, boat, or motorcycle! With free pick-up and fast paperwork, you can turn your vehicle into a tax-deductible donation that helps change the lives of others.
